Sweating Armpits

Every person sweats from their armpits.  Sweating armpits are perfectly normal, but everyone sweats in different amounts.  While people will naturally sweat from their armpits when they are hot or have been engaging in physical activity, some people sweat excessively.  They can even sweat for no reason at all.  The medical term for this condition is called axillary hyperhidrosis.  People that have this condition usually sweat much more on average.  The sweat becomes so extreme that it starts dripping from the armpits.  Even most deodorants and some medications aren't enough to stop the sweating.  Luckily, there are a few ways to treat excessive sweating armpits.

It's hard to tell what causes some people to sweat so profusely.  It just seems to be something they can't control.  They may sweat when they are nervous or when they wear a shirt that is too tight.  It wouldn't be a very big deal if it wasn't visibly noticeable.  Everyone has had the sweaty pit stains on a shirt that can be embarrassing if other people see them.  That the biggest reason people want to find a cure.  They will also want to find a way to stop the sweating if it makes them smell less than pleasant.

Regular-strength deodorants usually aren't enough to stop such profuse sweating.  It might keep a person from developing body odor, but the wetness will still be there.  There are clinical-strength formula deodorants available from any drug store that people can try out, but they don't always work.  People will still end up sweating through their shirts and have sweat dripping down their sides.  Even special deodorants prescribed by a doctor may not be enough to solve the problem.

In order to reduce sweating naturally, there are a few things a person can try.  Showering often is a good way to start.  It is recommended that people with excessive sweating issues shower twice a day.  They should also avoid eating spicy foods since they can contribute to the sweating process.  That's why people sweat when they eat really spicy chicken wings.

Getting enough exercise can also help reduce sweating.  A person that is heavier than they should be might sweat more because of the extra weight they are carrying around.  Some clothing causes a person to sweat more than other types.  Clothing made of spandex or nylon can contribute to sweating.  Tight clothing also causes more sweating.  Clothing that fit tight cause the body to sweat more and it will easily show on the armpits.  It's best to stick to shirts that are loose fitting so the skin has more room to breathe.  Dark clothing also helps hide any wet armpits.  If a person has a lot of hair in their armpits, they can shave them so that the hair doesn't absorb the sweat.  It also allows more air in.

Everyone probably has dealt with sweaty armpits at some point.  It's just something we all have to get past however we can.  Anyone that suffers from excessive sweating should talk to a doctor about possible remedies.
